Chapter1: Boltzmann's death

Boltzmann, who established the foundation of thermodynamics, was attacked by opposition parties such as Mach and committed suicide in despair. Einstein was the only one who recognized Boltzmann, and it is said that his recognition was buried because he was not famous at the time. In order to understand entropy, there must be prior knowledge such as the concept of events, the concept of closed systems, the concept of interaction, and the concept of decision-making structures. It takes a lot of advanced works to start the first work from a blank state. You believe you can just open shops, but first comers have to fill swamps, cut down trees, clean up rocks, build bridges, build roads, conduct public works, and draw electricity and water. It is also difficult to get permission from government offices. There are many steps to take in advance. It is very difficult to persuade a person who does not understand this part.

Boltzmann explained entropy with probability, and Mach and his followers laughed. "Probability? Are you kidding me?" Probability is an ambiguous word. Why does the water flow down? Because the bottom won. Why do apples fall? Because the side close to the Earth won. Why does the light flow in one direction? Because that direction won. Gujoron uses the word 'win the game'. The probability is not a good rhetoric. Because it sounds like it happened by chance. It might not be like that? “Science is not determined by luck of rolling dice.” They misunderstood about probability.

To be precise, it is a decision-making structure, not a probability. Like Galilei, Boltzmann couldn't find a word to explain what he saw. He saw something and had theoretical certainty but lacked the language to explain. Because the person who solves a difficult problem in math makes several new formulas, so it takes time to verify. It is not to review the answer to the problem, but to review the newly created formulas. On the contrary, if you have not created a formula, it is not a solution to the problem. There is even no need to go over it. Throw it in the trash can.

In fact, if the two collide, the big side wins. There is no need to apply probability. There are many variables in probability. Assuming that other parts except the temperature are the same, the hot side wins unconditionally. But "What if small and hot iron molecules and larger and less hot copper molecules collide? What if a sick cheetah and a healthy horse runs a hundred-meter race?" This assumption is not good. Don't mess with people in this way, and if the other conditions are the same, you are good to designate a closed system and go according to the law, except probability.

What if the ball thrown by the pitcher collides with the batter's bat?

The strong side wins. What if the pitcher throws a cutter and breaks the batter's bat? This miscellaneous part is out of the question. When all other things are equal, the strong side wins unconditionally between the pitcher and the batter. Why? Because decision-making must take place on one point. What if you hit the thick glass with a stick? The stick breaks or the glass breaks. A system in which the two are combined is created, the center of the system is derived, the decision-making is made in the shifting direction of the center, and the center breaks down. The decision-making point is one point where the two cogs interlock, so the event always proceeds in one direction.

Boltzmann’s explanation was difficult for the public to understand. The same goes for Galilei. Galilei stuck to his theory without compromising and criticized his fellow scientists. But he left a lot of clues during the argument and Newton picked them up. Galilei would not have insisted if the opposition had not criticized Galilei. Without the argument, Galilei would not have left a clue, and Newton could not have picked up a hint. Newton captured and logically explained what Galilei intuitively explained but the public was difficult to understand.

Pioneering a new field is like creating something out of nothing. We have to make a new equation to convince the public. A person with theoretical certainty pushes to the end. Boltzmann was laughed at and died, and Galilei was blamed for his nasty temper. After many years, the next generation will write a great biography nicely, but people of the same generation criticize that he is a crazy man.

Contemporaries come first and have to do cutting down trees, breaking stones, filling swamps, building roads, building bridges, drawing electricity and water, and getting permission from government offices. But the public has no idea of the difficulty and criticizes the pioneer. So you have to ignore the cynics with their arms crossed and move forward like a rhino's horn.
