어떤 유대인 고리대금업자가 서기를 채용하려고 면접을 보는데 지원자에게 던지는 질문은 '1+1은 얼마냐?'라는 것이었다. 2라고 대답한 사람은 불합격 되었다. 마침내 합격한 사람의 대답은 '얼마로 해드릴까요?' 였다. 유태인의 상술을 비꼬는 유머다. 넌센스 퀴즈는 게임의 규칙을 바꾸는 놀이다. 이것을 질문하는 척 했지만 사실은 저것을 질문한 것이었다. 뭐시라? 규칙을 바꿀 수 있다고? 이거 엄청난 통찰이다.

'그것은 그의 말이구나.' '그 사람은 그렇게 분위기를 띄우려고 하는구나.' 하고 찰떡같이 알아먹는 것이다.
