Chapter5: Hidden plus factor

사건은 꼬리에 꼬리를 문다. 머리와 꼬리 사이에 방향성이 있다. 숨은 플러스 알파가 있다. 밸런스를 이루고도 남는 것이 있다. 사건은 기세가 있고, 자본은 이윤이 있고, 사회는 권력이 있고, 동료는 의리가 있고, 개인은 매력이 있다. 수학이라면 순간변화율이고, 물리학이라면 관성력이다. 톱니들의 맞물림이다. 그 숨은 플러스 알파를 알았을 때 비로소 무언가를 안다고 말할 수 있다. 대상을 컨트롤 할 수 있다. 각각의 악기들이 만들어내는 좋은 연주와 그 연주들이 모여서 만들어내는 하머니는 다른 것이다. 하나는 감탄하고, 둘은 좋고, 셋이면 흥이 나서 가담하고 싶어진다. 주변을 끌어들인다. 예쁜 것과 매력있는 것은 다르다. 활력이 있어야 한다. 유쾌해야 한다. 분위기를 지배해야 한다.

Being pretty and being attractive are different. You have to be energetic and cheerful, and can control the atmosphere.

언제라도 머리에 자리잡고 꼬리를 바라봐야 한다. 원인을 장악하고 결과를 바라봐야 한다. 전체에 자리잡고 부분을 바라봐야 한다. 연결에 자리잡고 단절을 바라봐야 한다. 공자에 자리잡고 노자를 바라봐야 한다. 전략에 자리잡고 전술을 바라봐야 한다. 합리에 자리잡고 실용을 바라봐야 한다. 마이너스에 자리잡고 플러스를 바라봐야 한다. 정상에 자리잡고 기슭을 바라볼 때 비탈의 경사를 따라 나비효과를 일으키는 플러스 알파의 힘을 통제할 수 있다. 조절해야 할 에너지 낙차는 그곳에 있다.

It is the usefulness of knowledge because it can predict the next step of the event and do proactivity.

투수가 공을 던진다면 코어는 회음부다. 상체와 하체의 중간지점이 코어가 된다. 투수는 왼발을 내딛어서 회음부를 이동시키는 방법으로 공을 던진다. 코치들은 팔로 던지지 말고 하체로 던져라고 한다. 힘 빼고 던져라고 가르치는데 힘 빼는데 10년이 걸렸다는 사람도 있다. 회음부로 던지는 것이다. 무게중심의 이동이다. 축은 회음부에서 어깨와 팔꿈치를 거쳐 손목으로 이동한다. 그때마다 밸런스에 참여하는 영역이 좁아진다. 그게 방향성이다. 좁혀질수록 낙차가 크다. 손목은 어깨보다 가늘어야 한다. 최종적으로 공을 떠나보내는 지점은 손가락 끝의 작은 한 점이라야 한다. 충분한 낙차를 얻으려면 인류단위, 역사단위, 천하단위, 문명단위로 크게 시작해야 한다. 투구동작에 들어가면 한 번 정해진 방향은 바꿀 수 없다.

Relying on what doesn't change, it makes a change. It's like winning or losing a game. There are winners and losers. By the invariabllity of winning, losing changes. If winning is the cause, losing is the effect. There is a directionality between cause and effect.

보통은 방향을 헤아리지 못한다. 갈피를 못 잡는다. 왼발은 오른발을 탓하고 오른발은 왼발을 탓한다. 진보는 보수를 탓하고 보수는 진보를 탓한다. 진보와 보수를 동시에 아우리는 국민의 눈높이 변화를 읽어내지 못한다. 정치판이 이렇게 된 것은 국민이 변덕을 부렸기 때문인데 말이다. 국민이 변덕을 부리는게 아니고 상호작용의 증대라는 한 방향으로 가고 있다. 그 일관된 방향성을 읽어내야 한다. 국민은 자신에게 더 많은 역할을 주는 정당에 투표한다. 여당이나 야당이 변하는게 아니고 생산력이 변한다. 산업 생산력이 변하면 보수가 득세하고 문화 생산력이 변하면 진보가 득세한다.
