Chapter 9: Free will theory

인생은 게임이다. 게임에 참여하게 하려면 유인장치가 있어야 한다. 자유의지가 부정되면 인간은 게임을 하지 않는다. 말을 듣지 않는다. 인원이 동원되지 않는다. 세상이 돌아가지 않는다. 강제로 끌고 오려면 비용이 더 많이 먹힌다. 어차피 돈은 카지노가 따게 되어 있지만 호구노릇을 하는 고객들에게도 기대 이익이 있어야 게임이 성립한다.

In order to participate in the game of life, there must be a lure. If free will is denied, humans do not participate in the game. As people don't listen, they are not mobilized, and the world doesn't work. More costs are required to be brought in forcefully. Games are a system in which operators eventually win money, but there should also be expected benefits for participants who are pushovers. Only then can you start the game.

전략과 전술이 있다. 져주고 이기는게 전략이다. 부모는 자식에게 일부러 져준다. 그러므로 결과는 사전에 정해질 수 없다. 이기려면 상대방이 예측할 수 없게 해야 한다. 패턴을 읽히지 말아야 한다. 난수표와 같다. 난수표는 일부러 패턴을 만들지 않는다. 전략가는 이기려고 패턴을 만들지 않기 때문에 결정될 수 없다. 양자 컴퓨터를 돌리면 그것도 추적할 수 있다는 식은 억지다. 예측하는데 비용이 더 들면 예측하지 않는게 합리적이다. 인간이 예측불가능한 전략을 구사하듯이 자연도 예측하지 않는 방법을 사용한다. 확률로 조지는게 더 비용이 적게 먹히기 때문이다.

한국 경마장은 세금을 너무 많이 뗀다. 말도 좋은 말이 아니다. 기수와 마주가 짜고 치는 판이다. 경마팬이 기록을 검토하고 승률을 연구해봤자 의미가 없다. 이러면 안 된다. 흥행이 안 된다. 흥행이 안 되면 마사회도 먹을게 없다. 게임의 설계자는 참여자에게 자유의지를 제공하여 게임에 참여하도록 판에 설계해야 한다. 그게 더 비용이 싸게 먹힌다. 이것이 우주의 근본원리다.

100을 움직이려면 100의 힘을 가해야 한다. 더 쉬운 방법이 있다. 엄마곰을 잡으면 새끼곰이 따라온다. 우두머리 하나만 잡으면 되므로 비용을 절감한다. 집단이 권력을 분산하면 일일이 동의를 구해야 하므로 동원절차가 복잡하지만 길게 보면 그게 더 비용이 싸게 먹힌다. 민주주의가 전체주의를 이기는 원리다.

노예제보다 소작제가 낳고 소작제보다 자영농이 낫다. 농사기술이 발전할수록 농부에게 더 많은 자유의지가 주어진다. 민주주의는 부르주아 계급의 증대된 자유의지에 의해 작동한다. 활력이 넘치는 부르주아들은 상대를 이겨먹을 마음을 먹고 공격적으로 게임을 벌인다. 그 과정에 자원들이 구석구석 동원된다. 승부가 벌어지면 50 대 50으로 팽팽해져서 다들 긴장하고 주목한다. 혁신이 순식간에 집단 전체에 전달된다. 반면 시골사람들은 방어적이다. 그들은 비용을 줄이려고 하므로 동원이 안 된다. 팔짱끼고 구경할테니 '네가 나를 설득해 봐' 하는 삐딱한 자세로 어깃장을 놓는다. 집단의 중심을 주목하지 않는다. 자유를 줘도 시골에서 써먹을 데가 없다. 인간은 원래 죽어보자고 말을 안 듣는 동물이다. 자유의지가 아니면 그들을 통제할 수 없다. 주최측이 통제권의 일부를 게임 참여자에게 양보해야 통제가 된다.

Tenant system is better than slavery. Independent farmers is better than tenant farmers. As agricultural productivity increases, farmers gain more free will. Democracy works by the increased free will of the bourgeois class. The bourgeois with power play games aggressively to win. The necessary resources are mobilized in every corner of the process. Even if they have freedom, there is nowhere to use it in the countryside. Humans are animals that do not listen and do the opposite first. You can't control them with no free will. The organizer can control by yielding right of control to game participants.
